Here’s a pretty amazing example of what science can do.

On Wednesday, August 12, a total solar eclipse will cross parts of Greenland, Iceland, northern Russia, Spain, and Portugal. We won’t be able to see it from Washington State, but we can still watch it happen. NASA’s live coverage begins at 10:15 a.m. Pacific time.
Scientists can predict an eclipse years in advance, right down to its path and timing. That kind of knowledge comes from careful observation, research, and evidence. It is also a good reminder of why science is one of Indivisible Tri-Cities’ five core values.
