About the event
On April 24, Sergio Cerda was detained during a citizenship interview in Yakima. After weeks of detention, he self-deported in June and is now living in Mexico for the first time in over 20 years. While he's been helping his extended family, his wife Gabby and their children are carrying the weight of his absence here in the Tri-Cities.
We're gathering at their food truck, Hibachi Explosion, to show them they are not alone. Join us for a community Eat In*, where neighbors can come together to share a meal and stand in solidarity with Gabby and her family.
Let's show their family that this community cares and that we'll stand with them through this difficult time!
